Cruise Associations


The ports of Cannes, Antibes, Nice and Villefranche-sur-Mer are members of the Medcruise association, which brings together 71 Mediterranean ports committed to the development and promotion of the cruise industry. This commitment is demonstrated by improvements to security procedures in the member ports, planning for the development of the cruise market, and implementation of a quality policy (ISO procedure).

French Riviera Cruise Club

The French Riviera Cruise Club (FRCC) was inaugurated on 21st March 2007.



The founding members are:

  • the Conseil General of the Alpes-Maritimes
  • the Regional Tourist Board
  • the French Riviera Chamber of Commerce
  • the Cities of Cannes, Nice and Villefranche-sur-Mer and their Tourist Offices


The aim of the club is to federate all the stakeholders of the destination “Côte d’Azur”, to be a privileged partner for cruise lines and their clients. The aim is also to raise awareness among local opinion makers of the valuable economic impact of the cruise industry.

To become a member of the French Riviera Cruise Club, professionals must sign the membership rules, granting them the right and duty to serve the interests of cruise tourism.

CLIA France

In 2015, the FRCC joined the CLIA France which brings together almost all the sea and river cruise lines present or represented in France.

Since 1st January 2014, the AFCC has become CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) France, affiliated with CLIA USA and CLIA Europe.

Cruises offer exceptional holidays, with diverse packages and styles, and the objective of CLIA France is to promote the advantages of this mode of travel, which is still somewhat misunderstood, to both the public, and to travel agents, who are the principle advisors and sellers. The members of the association are putting aside competition, and combining their efforts around initiatives of communication, promotion and training, so that future passengers of their vessels can receive the best possible advice.
